Weight loss & management

You already know what to eat. The hard part is doing it on a Wednesday.

Losing weight isn't really a knowledge problem — it's a life problem. So I build you a plan that's calculated for your body and your actual week, with no banned foods and no fads, then stay with you daily while it turns into a habit.

If any of this is you, you're in the right place

You've done this before

You've lost weight more than once and watched it come back. The losing isn't the problem — the keeping is.

Life keeps interrupting

You start well on Monday. Then a late meeting, a takeaway, a bad night's sleep, and by Thursday the plan is gone.

You're done being told "no"

Every plan seems to start by banning the foods you actually enjoy — so of course it doesn't last.

You cook for other people

You can't run a separate diet alongside a family dinner, and you shouldn't have to.

Nothing's shifting

You feel like you're doing everything right and the scale hasn't moved in weeks.

You want it personal

You'd like advice calculated for your body and your routine — not whatever worked for someone on Instagram.

Preparing a fresh, balanced meal at home
The real reason it doesn't stick

Most plans don't fail in month three. They fail in week one.

The week after you start is when motivation quietly runs out and normal life comes back. That's the moment almost every plan is lost — not because it was the wrong plan, but because there was nobody there when it wobbled.

That's the part I built my practice around. You get the plan, and then you get me — daily, through the app — so a difficult day becomes an adjustment instead of an abandonment. Progress, not perfection.

I also don't ask you to count calories. We work in portions — what a plate should actually look like for your body and your goal — because it's something you can still do at a restaurant, at a braai, or at your mother-in-law's table.

How I work with you

Four things that make the difference

Calculated, not copied

Your plan is worked out from your body, your goals, your budget, your schedule and the food you genuinely like — not pulled off a shelf.

Nothing is banned

Food is fuel, not "good" or "bad". Bread, wine and chocolate can live inside a plan that works — a plan you can live with is a plan that lasts.

Daily accountability

Real-time check-ins through the free app. I see the wobble early and we adjust — instead of you quietly falling off and starting again in January.

Habits, not willpower

We work with your hunger cues and the triggers that lead to eating you didn't plan, so it stops being a daily battle you have to win.

Common questions

Weight loss, answered

How much weight will I lose, and how fast?

I won't give you a number before I've met you — anyone who does is guessing. It depends on your starting point, your medical history, your medication, your sleep and how much of your life you can realistically change right now. What I will say is that steady, unspectacular loss is the kind that stays gone, and that we set your target together at the first consultation once I can see the full picture.

Do I have to count calories?

No. We work in portions rather than calories — what a plate should look like for you, and roughly how much of it. It's a skill you keep, and unlike counting, it still works when you're at a restaurant, on holiday or eating at somebody else's house. Counting tends to last a few weeks; portion awareness tends to last.

Will I have to give up bread, wine or chocolate?

No food is off limits. Banning the things you love is exactly why the last plan failed — it creates a rule you'll eventually break, and breaking it usually ends the whole attempt. We build those foods in deliberately, in portions that fit your goal, so there's nothing to fall off.

I'm cooking for a family. Do I have to make separate meals?

Not at all — and I'd rather you didn't. Your plan is built around meals the whole household can eat, with your portions and plate balance adjusted rather than your menu replaced. I'm also a qualified chef, so the practical side of cooking once and feeding everyone is something we can get properly specific about.

Can we work together online?

Yes. I consult online across South Africa and in person at my Sea Point rooms. Online clients get exactly the same plan, the same app access and the same daily accountability — the weight-loss work translates completely to video.

Can I claim from my medical aid?

Consultations are billed privately, and many clients claim back from their medical-aid savings using the invoice provided. Cover differs from scheme to scheme, so it's worth checking yours — ask me and I'll tell you what to send them. You can see the current fees on the booking page.
